This may be fixable by reducing the spring k-factor or centering the button more within the unit, as it's location is biased a bit toward one corner. (Note: manufacturer potential changes; I don't recommend trying to do this yourself). I don't consider this a major detriment, as you shouldn't put a heater on an unstable surface anyway, but be aware that some solid footing underneath is a good idea and keep it out of the way of potential traffic or flying objects.
