Don't get me wrong, this was well written and interesting but I personally just like having ALL the background information so I don't end up feeling so lost.

When I discovered that Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia will make a spin-off to one of my favorite series, I was beyond excited. Although lucid dreaming generally occurs during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, lucid and non-lucid REM sleep periods differ from one another.I like that it’s about Link and Ridley, who are two of the more interesting characters in the Caster Chronicles, and I like that this series focuses on them. Lucid dreams may appear similar to nightmares, sleep paralysis, and the dreamer’s own reality, which can cause anxiety and confusion. Now I've never been a huge fan of their relationship because I was so in love with Ethan and Lena's. Still, I like that you see how Ridley’s adjusting to being a mortal and how Lena’s decision to claim herself has consequences that you see in this short novella. Even after four books, there are still new creatures and powers that the readers are learning about, and that is great.

Isleen’s life is a tragic one that will shatter your heart, but her inner strength and resilience is so incredible you adore her. I always feel better when I finish her stories, as they often validate some of my feelings and experiences. I missed the side story to Link and although you can read the next books without them, when you do eventually get to reading them, it's like why didn't I do that before reading the other book? Isleen’s life is a tragic one that will shatter your heart, but her inner strength and resilience is incredible.Serving as an introduction to the new series Dangerous Creatures, this short novella takes the reader back to Gatlin and right into the High School Graduation ceremony of Ethan, Lena and Link. So, while I don't think anyone is going to be wowed by Dangerous Dream, it seems to be required reading for those who want to read about Ridley and Link's next adventures. Darkly intense and beautiful, this story is one that grips you from start to finish with your heart in your throat wondering what will happen next.

This is Ridley, she has always been one of the most fascinating characters in the series and yet, it didn’t work out for me. I feel like I could cut and paste the review for the first iteration of this book but this book is awesome and this new title and new cover deserve a new review. Best known for the BEAUTIFUL CREATURES novels and Marvel's LIFE OF CAPTAIN MARVEL comics, her latest book is CATS VS ROBOTS: THIS IS WAR (with husband Lewis Peterson, illustrated by their child Kay Peterson.

It is important to note that Xander doesn’t fix her - he supports her, lending her his strength to couple with hers. Unfortunately, Dangerous Dream has not only completely failed to engage me and spur me to purchase either series, it has in fact achieved the opposite and deterred me from reading anything further from these authors. I was on the fence whether or not I wanted to read these Beautiful Creatures spin-off series, since I’m not really emotionally invested enough in Ridley and Link’s toxic relationship to care. Their signature mixture of mystery, suspense, and romance, along with a dash of fun and danger, will pull fans in and leave them begging for more. I really liked that we saw what happened after the Caster Chronicles ended, and seeing what’s going on with Ridley and Link. She will explain that their caravan was attacked, and that he was taken by Supernal Dreamers to their camp in Stormhaven during it. While I enjoyed the first book of the series and part of the second book in the series, the last book (the fourth) was a struggle to finish (in fact, I celebrated finishing the series.
